So you’ve heard about all the things we can help with so far, but what about those in between issues that fall into the maybe category for your cats? There are certain types of health conditions our four legged pals may be dealing with that the Republic can still provide for. It totally varies from cat to cat as to whether that’s the right choice for them, and we ALWAYS recommend speaking to your vet before making any big changes. Let’s have a chat about some of them.
So your cat… is pregnant with some baby citizens
The problem – No problem at all, congratulations! You’re having…KITTENS.
Can we help? – MAYBE in the Future
How? – Your vet will be able to help you decide which food is right for your super-mum.
We’d recommend a high-energy density food, which is something that we haven’t designed yet. Once your Mumma cat has nursed her little ones, we’d be thrilled to welcome her back to the Republic onto a complete diet to help her continue to thrive through life.
So your cat… has been diagnosed with Cancer
The problem – First of all, what a brave citizen you have, give them extra cuddles from the Republic. There are many different types of cancer, each with very different requirements when it comes to diet.
Can we help? – MAYBE
How come? – It totally depends on the type of cancer your little one is battling, so we recommend chatting to your vet to see whether we could work for you. We’d LOVE to welcome you to Republic of Cats when you’ve had that conversation.
So your cat… has trouble with Gastrointestinal Disease
The problem – This disease affects your cat’s stomach and intestines in a number of ways, poor little angel. Some of the most common diseases include Gastroenteritis, Colitis, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Pancreatitis.
Can we help? – MAYBE
How come? – Gastro issues are highly varied, so lucky for some we might be able to help. We can create feeding plans to help with constipation and diarrhoea, for example, by including a tip top level of fibre and prebiotics in their food. As always though, checking with your vet is our best advice before committing to the fine Republic.
If you have any more questions on how we can help with any of the above health conditions, drop us a message over to [email protected] or visit our exclusive Facebook Community for tonnes of helpful advice from our citizens themselves.
